The Compassion Ministry of Dhaka AG Church began in 1988 with two teachers serving children in the Moghbazar slum. Over the years, the ministry has grown significantly and now oversees 20 educational centers, including 16 Compassion Schools and 4 community pre-schools operated in partnership with the CHE (Community Health Education) Prapti initiative. Through the dedicated service of 30 teachers and staff, these programs are serving 700+ children with education, care, and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

In addition to education, the ministry coordinates several residential care and sponsorship programs for vulnerable children. The Caroline Girls’ Home, located at the DAG Uttara Center, is celebrating 21 years of ministry. Currently, 19 girls live and study there until Grade 5, after which they are supported through sponsorship programs to continue their education at other homes and institutions. The girls are growing both academically and spiritually, and 8 of them are preparing for Water Baptism.

The Compassion Ministry also coordinates a Boys’ Hostel at Barishal AG Church, supporting 13 students, provides educational support for 20+ students in Sharishabari, and oversees sponsorship support for 97 girls at the Faridpur Girls’ Home. Through these programs, children and young people are given opportunities to pursue education and develop into responsible Christian leaders for the future.

Through its schools, homes, hostels, sponsorship programs, and community-based educational initiatives, the Compassion Ministry continues to demonstrate the love of Christ by serving underprivileged children and families and helping them build a brighter future.

This ministry is coordinated by Pastor Gwen Kain together with Brother Victor Liton Joydhor, who provide leadership, guidance, and support for the ministry's ongoing work and development.
